Jelisaveta Tasev – President of Council of the EU at BEUM 2011

My name is Jelisaveta Tasev and I will be the Chair-lady of this year’s Council of the EU simulation. I got my LL.B law degree in 2010 and I am currently pursuing an LL.M degree in Business Law. I have participated in a number of International Model United Nations conferences and I have considerable experience both as a participant and as a chair. This will be my first time taking part in the organization of a Model EU and I have high expectations of this upcoming event. I truly believe that BEUM 2011 will live up to my expectations and I am looking forward to meeting all of you here in Belgrade because I know we are bound to learn new things and have endless fun.

Olga Kalašić – Vice President

My name is Olga Kalašić and I am currently an OSI Scholar at University College London doing a taught Master’s degree in Institutions, Development and Globalisation. My attention to international relations and the European Union in general increased decisively in my first year of undergraduate studies at Faculty of Economics Finance and Administration, where I attended several conferences concerning the European integration process and the role and importance of development of Serbia in many areas of its policies. Furthermore, I have gained a lot of experience in international relations by organizing the Belgrade International Model of the United Nations, where I represented Austria in the Security Council in 2009 and where I was the Vice-Chairperson in the General Assembly in 2010.

Despoina Papadopoulou – Vice President

Hello Everyone! My name is Despoina Papadopoulou, I’m 20 years old and I come from Greece. My field of expertise is International and European studies, a path I decided to walk when I was introduced to the inner workings of grand scale organizations such as E.U, through the Euroscola program. The MUN virus was the next step and so after my first MUN and 10 MUN after that one, in one year, I am happy to come back to the crime scene as a chair this time around. In addition to that I am an intern to the UNESCO Center for Women and Peace in the Balkans where my love for anything that has to do with human rights (especially those of children and women) is fully expressed. BEUM and wonderful Belgrade here we come !

Branka Kremenović – Vice President

My name is Branka Kremenovic and I will be Secretary of Council of the EU. I am undergraduate student of International Affairs at Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade. As international organizations are the special field of my interests, I have participated in numerous seminars and done many researches upon this topic. I have participated in International Model of United Nations conferences as a delegate, as a member of the organizing team and as a secretary in World Heritage Committee. I have also gained experiences through volunteering in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NGOs and coordinating the project for Committee for International Cooperation of Student Conference of Serbian Universities. This will be my first time taking part in organizing of a Model EU. I am looking forward to it and I am sure it will fulfill our expectations.

my name is Stephan Dehler and I will have the honor so serve as Guest Chair of Council of the EU at BEUM 2011. I am studying Economics and Politics at the University of Gießen (Germany). During the last years I have participated in numerous MUNs as Delegate, Chair or Director. I have joined the BEUM-Team because BEUM 2011 will be amazing days of simulations at a wonderful city. This will be an unique chance to feel the Serbian way of life, find new international friends and of course to have great parties together. I am looking forward to BEUM 2011 and to meet you all.
